I hope you know...
Calling all music lovers who are also up for supporting a good cause:

My friend, Liz Tonwsend, is in a band called The Floe. They're very good and are, this month, releasing their first single 'I Hope You Know'.
What makes the release extra special is that the band have decided to give all proceeds from the single to the Transplant Trust; an organisation close to the lead singer's heart as she gave her own kidney a year ago.

To check out a message from the singer, Sarah, and to hear (and hopefully buy) the song from itunes, amazon or wotnot, head to this site.

Get some bouncy music, and give money to The Transplant Trust...not a bad day's transaction, eh?

Thanks all!
ems^_^

hey Emsie, on a tangent, I was talking to one of my workmates today and we were unpacking a copy of comic book tattoo, so I said "Oh, one of my friends drew one of the stories for that!" and she said "No way, who?" So I told her your name, and she was like "NOWAI! I know Emma too!"

Small world eh? Her name's Brigitte Sutherland, I think she met you at free comics day and chatted to her about kickstarting her illustrating career :D I just thought it was a nice testament to your fame, hee hee!

wow, really? How awesome! I'm chuffed she remembers me ^_^
That book is a sexy beast!
Well, we really should sort out an excuse for a visit, you know? a workshop/panel/going out for a meal combo, hehe.

Haha yes that would be awesome! We have zero events budget at the moment but if you are in this neck of the woods I'm sure I can bend the rules a bit and put on a nice event for you :D (the population of Bath are hungry for manga. the shelves permanently look like Pirahnas got at them...)

Also I still have to send you the worlds most belated wedding present from me and the Ste... could you PM me your address? I'm so disorganised!

aww, really?! Man, you didn't have to get us anything, that's so sweeeeet! *hug* Will DM my addy for you.

And don't worry about fee, hon. If we can sort out a nice meal and give a good reason for a visit, it'll work out ^_^

Honestly, it's the most belated thing ever, I got it on the spur of the moment because I thought it would be awesome, and then I just failed at sending it for over a year XD Oh well, hopefully it will be ummm a nice belated memento?

Yeah it would be wonderful to sort out a workshop/talk for after the Christmas rush madness, I know so many people would love it! And then we could try and get a few more folks gathered for a visit, have a slap up meal and a nice Bath gathering :D I know Brigitte is dying for a chance to talk comics with you again, heheh :)

Actually for Ste's 30th we were considering renting out the small Cross Bath pool at Thermae Bath Spa and having a cocktail pool party, we could perhaps incorporate it! Hmm idea!
